high cortisol levels and disrupted sleep?

Hi,

I have a friend that is getting crap sleep and I have a theory why.

He walks about 8km everyday in the afternoon after work.

Is it possible that this would be raising his cortisol levels and disrupting his sleep?

His diet is failry crap and has been doing low cal 1500/day for 4-5 months.

His diet sucks and he’s likely deficient in some vitamins and minerals. 8k of walking isn’t a big deal; I seriously doubt this is going to be a major problem. He might want to supplement with magnesium or ZMA and see what happens after a week or so. Can you post what he normally eats as well?

Oh stats too… given you were trashing his diet in your post I assumed it wasn’t too good.
