High Carb Diet for Fat Loss?

Given you are not diabetic?

If you’re asking whether it is possible to lose fat on a diet consisting predominantly of carbs, the answer is yes. OTOH, if you’re seeking opinions re whether it’s a healthful/optimal approach, then count me as a ‘no.’ (BTW, I assume you’re not talking about veggie/fibrous carbs here.)

am talking about all kinda carbs, white bread, white sugar,veggie/fibrous, high glycemic low glycemic .

Let me ask you a couple of questions I should have asked before my post above…

  1. You haven’t mentioned any goals other than losing fat. However, because you’re asking about this on TN (ie, a weightlifting/bodybuilding forum), I’m assuming you lift, and are interested in at least keeping the muscle you have through the course of your fat loss. Is this correct? In this regard, are your weightlifitng goals related to powerlifting, strongman-type competitions, training for a particular sport, aesthetics/bodybuilding, or ?

  2. When you refer to a diet as ‘high carb,’ what does that mean (to you) with respect to daily calories and macros? That is, how much carbs vs protein vs fats (either in grams or %ages) are you talking about?
