Ah, that’s awful. Especially timing-wise. Glad no one was physically hurt. Hope the second half of the year treats you better
Damn man, terrible timing. Glad she’s ok though. Hope they find the person that did that… what a shitty thing to do.
Sorry to read that. Better days ahead.
Got a light workout in today, nothing much but feel better after it. Will either break the gym down tomorrow or the day after, depending when the movers confirm. We’re in the endgames now!
travel safe
Thanks, appreciate it!
Back in business
Welcome back dude, setup looks awesome
Got a quick workout in, this humidity is no joke. Did a little bench, rows, arms, and pull-ups. Will probably take it pretty easy for a few weeks while trying to get my diet in order then jump on a program and maybe join a gym for the hotter months, after I buy a car.
Welcome back! Awesome setup. I hope everything works out smoothly for you.
Me too! Tired of life being hard lol. Probably going to buy a car this coming weekend and some paperwork but otherwise things are looking pretty smooth at this point.
Been super unmotivated but signed up for a gym this week and got two subpar efforts in (including a mile plus jog). Will be trying to get ~4 days a week at the gym and going to try and run a few days a week too.
Things are finally settling in, got a new car (the market is insane rn), and a fly rod so I’ve got to allocate some fishing time. I’ve been predictably unsuccessful in my two attempts thus far
That’s awesome man. Once mid/late fall hits you’ll be in heaven.
Yea, I’m pretty pumped about it!
Jogged a mile (which is how far I drove my car to get the tire fixed this morning :sighs:) this morning and went into the gym for a quick chest workout this afternoon.
Bench:
235 1x5, 1x6, 1x7
Incline DB bench:
80 3x8
rope pulldown
50 3x15
Did some warmup sets and whatnot but not a lot more, just getting back into the swing of things, didn’t feel too bad.
Got a few more workouts in, tweaked my groin doing some squats at 225 but it went away after a few days. Had a decent back workout and a pretty subpar shoulder workout in this morning.
I ran 1.25 miles at 10 min pace, started at close to 11 but managed to run the last half mile or so at a bit over a 9 minute pace. Not in good enough shape at the moment to be able to put in a great workout after running though, so just went through the motions with a shoulder workout. As long as the legs don’t hurt (in a bad way) I’m going to up the mileage very gradually. Looking to run a comfortable 30 min 5k in the fall, nothing earth shattering but I figure that’s a decent benchmark for being in not-terrible shape.
Been averaging over 10k steps for the past month, which is a solid uptick from previous months.
Got in a real weak back workout yesterday and will either do a run and/or hit bench today. I’ve been fighting to get better eating habits (mostly without success) but I think one of the only ways is to limit the snacking options I have in my house, since I largely work from home and am a grazer. Thinking I’ll buy some protein powder so if I am going to have a snack it will at least be something somewhat worthwhile and hard to make.
Been pretty consistent the last month or so and have been dealing with my old doggo who we had to put down yesterday, I’m crushed but know it was his time. Planning on getting back on here more frequently.
Currently lifting 3-4 times a week, pretty low intensity and volume split between my house and the gym. Been neglecting squats and deadlifts pretty regularly but have been keeping up the running and progressing very slowly. Been trying to do 3x a week between 10-22 min a run, just finished a 2+ mile run for the first time in probably a decade, also hit 225 x 2 on OHP followed by 155 2x8, so some upper strength is still there
Sorry to hear about your dog, man. Tough even when you know it’s coming. Maybe even tougher.
