I recently got a heamtoma (deep bruise) on my lower quad, hitting myself with the bar while lowering a heavy DL (stupid, I know). Anyways, hurts if I try and do any squatting motion with weight. Any advice on healing these? How long am I looking at (I’ve heard they can be real long to heal)? Thanks


Try a supplemental enzyme called bromelain. The best form of this is in an emzyme formula from Germany with a red label and an anatomy dude on the front, sold in any health store. Anyway, take as much as you can, drink a ton of water and stretch as frequently as possible. I personally have used these enzymes to heal from severe tendonitis and a crushed ankle as well. I would not be surprised if you healed up as quickly as 3 to 6 weeks. Best wishes.
