Help with Training Frequency and Splits

Good morning guys. New T-Nation member here looking to build some muscle this summer. I’m 19 years old and 6’4 and around 173 (Skinny I know). I have lost about 25 pounds since March of last year and am now trying to build that all back in muscle. I have some experience lifting and have done so consistently over the past four or five months but really haven’t seen any gains, mostly due to not eating enough. I have no problem eating healthy stuff and am now realizing how much more I need to be eating to achieve my goals. The one thing I do need help with is picking out the good information from the bullshit as far as training programs/training frequency/splits/rest days. I usually do too much in the gym, which has also hurt my gains. What do you guys recommend as far as training frequency and what splits have worked for you as far as building mass quickly?
