Help With Supplements

…Although it may be one of the simplest questions to ask for a beginer like me it seems to be hard…

well my question is what suppliments are the best to take…im tryn to bulk up and i am 5’ 10" weighn in at 185lbs, and its not all muscle thats for sure…i currently take a 100% whey protein isolate and megaman multivitamin…

i have come to the conclusion on not to rely on suppliments and i have finally decided to start a diet for my “bulking” phase…(open for help)

none the less i was asking around at my gym and i obviously asked the guys who looked like they knew what they where doing, what suppliments to take…they all told me to focus on my diet…

however, the suppliments that most of these guys told me to take where…

a multivitamin (megaman)
whey protein
Creatine
‘NO2’

by the looks of these guys it would seem that these are the suppliments to take, but ive been reading the NO2 scam article and now im filled with nothing but dought and confusion!

ARE THESE GOOD SUPPLIMENTS THAT SHOULD PRODUCE RESULTS OR WHAT CAN I TAKE? Please help me out ASAP!!

My young weight lifting brother, you need to first learn about overall proper nutrition because that is where it all begins and ends. Supplements are meant to enhance or “supplement” this area. A supplement isn’t worth the bottle it comes in if you first don’t have this area nailed down.

Check out Vroom’s thread http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=640350 and after reading the links on nutrition there you can then go into the T-Nation store and read the info articles for the products provided there.

Good luck,

D

I agree with the above person’s response.
I will add that overall it comes down to the basics:
(Nitric Oxide products are shit. They fall in line with chrysin, methoxy, and myostation blockers; years from now they won’t exist either)

Whey Isolate (or better, Hydrosolate) pre & post workout with simple carbs

Creatine (Monohydrate; forget every other kind)

Micellar Casein protein (such as Metabolic Drive) any other time (esp. before bed)

Multi-vitamin/mineral

Good Fats (Fish oil, flax oil, Udo’s Choice Oil Blend, etc)

Save your money. Eat more food, eat clean and consistantly and take ONLY the above supplements and you’ll do well.
