Help With Rack Chin/ Pull Up



I was inspired by this article to try to be able to actually smash my chest in the bar. Are Rack Pulls a good way to get this going?

I have been doing rack pulls to try to get a bit better at pull ups while I do some lat-pulldown work as indicated in the article but they feel like a high row. I get a pain in my right arm (bicipital aponeurosis) if I use my arms too much.

My goal is to bodybuild, so I am not sure if this is not even worth the time.

Any advice is appreciated.

You need to spend alot of time on the lat pulldown to master the technique being described in the article. Most people will just give up and/or start adding too much weight to the lat pulldown. You will not be able to get yourself going doing rack pulls I can almost guarantee you. The key, like the article says is to understand how weak you are at the beginning of a pull and to use the lat pulldown to SLOWLY build up strength in that area.
