Help with Iron Cross

I am entering a strongman comp later this month, and I am having trouble with training the Iron Cross event. Does anyone have some seggestions? Maybe side raises with a pause at the top?

Try different exercises using an iron cross form e.g. squats, shrugs, lunges, still leg lifts. If you dont mind looking like a weirdo you can do laps using lighter dumbells holding the iron cross form. You can also take ez curl bars or regular oly bars and hold them vertical. Hold them off centered for more resistance or less resistance on your wrists.
