Help w/ Rancid Farts, Increased Acne

Horrid farts are fun; sometimes…but when it lasts for 4-6hrs of your 8-9hr day at work…it gets bothersome. I work at an engineering firm where I am constantly talking with the higher tier guys and in no way to I want to bust ass all over our conversation.

I think I drink on average 3-5L a day; but it’s probably due to stress (the acne).

It’s totally the carbs fault. I know it. If I was cutting I’d be fine…BUT i’m bulking and eating 250-400g a day depending on the day.

i’ve made my girlfriend move into other rooms many time.

i have also farted so loud that i woke myself up…now THAT is fucking funny. even at 3:30am.

recently down to 350; but yeah…it’s a lot on training days.

lucky for me i don’t have to worry THAT much about acne; it’s just annoying to have any blemish at all…you know?

Try some HCL capsules, it could be a digestion problem.

Failing that, I agree with everyone else, check for food allergies and more water.

I found that liquid Chlorophyll a tablespoon a day helped with bad breath and bad farts from an all egg diet

with the benefit that your crap comes out a deep green color !

I have to agree with the carbs and some whey as a major source of wind. Most of the time this is when I do a major diet change. Like change the type of whey, get into alot of lactose or eat ANYTHING from that damn Fiber One company. I dont know wtf they put in that stuff but it is has the most incredible fart producing powers on earth.

I can make my dogs sick with farts from that stuff. For real, I run them out of the room. The wife wont even sleep with me if I have had a Fiber One bar.

+1 for gold stnd whey. I have less probs on that or pure why isolates from True Protein.

  1. Start taking probiotics.

  2. Cut out Dairy.

  3. Cut out wheat.

4)Cut out indoles: brocolli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts.

Try that for a couple of weeks, and see if that clears the symptoms. Then add 4,3,2 back in one at a time and see which one, if any, is causing the problem.

I definitely can attest to the probiotic and HCL suggestions. Make sure the probiotic is enteric coated with multiple strains.

Funny you should say that…I work at an engineering firm, and I find if I have a breakfast of a Grow! shake with creatine, kashi almond flax, and throw in some dried apricots for good measure, I can keep people from bothering me for the first 6 hours of the day.

if your breakfast is regularly high fiber along with high protein then eventually those digestion and gas issues will subside

if your fiber intake day to day or week to week is unpredictable then yes you will probably be letting them rip left and right

it is a fun color but it dosent smell if you take enough of it.

I don’t mean to hijack the thread, but my problem is along the same lines. I get the runs rather often, and at inconvenient moments, but I also eat alot of fiber. Any suggestions or tips?

constant diarrhea is a good sign that you are inflamming your GI tract with a food sensitivity or allergy as mentioned

for example drinking lots of milk or consuming lots of dairy if you have lactose intolerance or a casein/whey intolerance

your body sees the food as an invader and wants to get rid of it as quickly as possible, which happens to be through your asshole

as mentioned get a good allergy test done by a specialist

I used to have the same gas thing this past summer. My stomach has quieted down quite a lot since then though, even though i’m consuming the same amount - I think you just get used to it after a while. I also eat 2 cups of that activia yogurt in the morning, and get my veggies so I think that helps.

Dunno about the acne thouhg, I haven’t noticed any change in that since starting lifting.
