Help Stop Obama!

"Those of us who want to frustrate Obama?s radical agenda are one election away from political impotence. Ted Stevens has just fallen 800 votes behind in the Alaska recount (hard to make up in a tiny state) and Coleman is clinging to just a 200 vote margin in Minnesota (tiny in a huge state) with the recount not yet even begun. So if we lose Alaska and Minnesota, Saxby Chambliss? seat in Georgia is the 60th vote to stop a filibuster. It all comes down to Georgia.

Read the rest of this column at your leisure, but right now, go online and click on GOPTrust.com and donate to run their scathing ad attacking Chambliss? opponent, liberal Jim Martin. Our ability to stop the evisceration of talk radio, the flooding of our health care system by 47 million new patients (including illegal immigrants), the repeal of the Patriot Act, the release of the terrorists now under lock and key at Guantanamo, the prolongation of the recession by Obama?s plans for steep tax increases all this is at stake!"

Poor Ted Stevens. Just because he’s a convicted felon, some people seem to believe he’s unfit to hold office.

Were will the GOP find qualified candidates if criminals are to be considered off-limits?

Glass house

Another reason to keep the Dems from a 60 seat Senate: every time one party dominates, we get a war or some other insanity. And its usually Dems — WWI and II, Vietnam, World Trade Center.

I swear that if he abolishes the Patriot Act, closes Guantanamo and at least declares that the Feds will no longer raid medical Marijuana clinics, I will build him a little shrine in my apartment.

Wow, I thought you were being racist and saying a black guy was going to be in his apartment! ;>

Don’t worry, those Feds will be too busy blackbagging dissenters, catching people dodging their mandatory community service and shutting down talk radio to mess with the potheads.

There is no way Obama is going to do away with the Patriot Act. You think an authoritarian like that is going to GIVE UP power? This was the greatest failing of Bush. Even if he had no intent to use gov’t power against us, he didn’t consider those after him who may use that expanded power for nefarious purposes.

HA!!!

This is fucking hilarious. How many times exactly did we bring up the dangers of the Patriot Act only to be told by so many conservatives that it was paranoia…now all of a sudden, as if none of you expected to ever lose your place at the table in the future, it is suddenly a problem.

LOL!!!

Hey, I am a Libertarian.

Just act as if every second post of mine was: " I fucking told you so".

Damn it, we nailed it.

Don’t you find it odd that you can show that one conservative critic of the Patriot Act - Mikeyali, who has always been critical of it, long before Obama got elected - to demonstrate that “suddenly”, conservatives have collectively changed their tune on the Patriot Act because they no longer have the majority?

No evidence of that here.

You use the term “none of you” - who exactly are you referring to?

Of the terrorists released so far, at least 50 have been caught or killed fighting or engaging in terrorism. If we close Gitmo, can the remaining folks move to Austria? You can keep them there, maybe help you build the shrine.

I have and always will detest the patriot act. I rather take my chances with the terrorists then allow the government the role of super nanny…But who the fuck am I kidding, I am in the minority. Most, it seems, are more than willing to sacrifice freedom and self sufficiency for a little more government involvement in their lives.

It is interesting what battles you choose. When “Obama is the enemy” gets declared, none of you step forward to say this is wrong concerning a US President. However, here you are to make sure no one believes that you think the Patriot Act was a bad idea.

Kudos to you for being such a stand up guy.

I wouldn’t expect an answer to that question any time soon.

LOL.

You and those like you are why so many avoided this section for months. You’ve done a GREAT job.

I personally would love to hear much more from you.

You know what that means right?

It means that 90% of the people who were there had no business being in Guantanamo in the first place.
