Help my Taste-less Whey!

I’m a student so I pretty much have to resort to buying natural, almost tasteless whey protein (not exclusively but the majority of my ‘stock’ is natural). The problem is that when I take it to the gym I have to drink it just like that mixed in water. I wish I had a portable blender with me but it’s not the case and even if I had one I probably wouldn’t want to carry it around in my backpack the whole day.

What are some ways to pimp out my protein shake peri/post workout with the knowledge I can’t blend shit?

Also, not being specific but what amino acid would be the best to buy if I could only pick one exclusively? Glutamine? Or maybe just leave the amino acids and pick up some Creatine instead?

Look, just eat more real food for now. If you’re having trouble buying good tasting protein then there is no need to torture yourself with the crappy stuff.

L-Leucine.

Add some crystal light or sugar free pudding mix to the whey to flavor it… or suck it up.

Google a place to buy flavor packs for whey. Can’t post links to other sites here.

Eh…

Shit isn’t supposed to be a gourmet meal.

If working out was easy and the necessary feedings weren’t monotonous and drab tasting, a lot more members of society would be doing this shit.

Man the fuck up and just drink it, guy.

Citrucel

Cinnamon

Nescafe

Cocoa powder (no sugar)

I’ve never seen unflavored whey. How cheap is it compared to flavored?

You mean a place like Biotest?

Nope, they sell the liquid flavoring if you buy MAG-10/ANACONDA/Surge Workout Fuel. But not by itself.

You might want to double check on that as I’ve purchased it myself.

I just checked, now I’m seriously confused. You’re saying they sell the flavoring system by itself?

They do in the UK. Unfortunately one of the only Biotest products you can get in store over here.

Unflavored is that cheap? Just buy 2 things of Grow, 4lb whey for $45, and it has leucine/glutamine/a bunch of other amino acids alrady in it. I don’t think you can get whey and amino acids that cheap separately, but what do I know.

So does every protein powder on the planet. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and unless a product adds MORE of a certain one(as indicated by a separate ingredient on the label) you are getting what is naturally part of the protein.

Use a shaker bottle, won’t blend but it will mix the powders and liquids well.

Haha I wish whey was that cheap over here. I live in New Zealand, one of the largest dairy producers and exporters of dairy on the planet. Unfortunately, we export all our stuff to lax Americans like yourself so we’re left with higher prices at the end of the day.

Regarding the natural whey it’s actually not that bad in retrosepct. I went to the gym yesterday and had a peri/post shake that didn’t make me feel bloated. I’m getting acommodated to the tase; it’s like a watery milk solution almost.

Economically that makes zero sense. I think there must be higher regulations on supplements that cause the prices to be higher there or something else, because if milk is so cheap, then they would sell milk cheaply, and supplement producers can get it for cheap and sell if for cheap. The only thing that would make it more expensive is YOUR government, not Americans. I’m pretty sure the majority of milk sold in American grocery stores is from American dairies too by the whey.
