Heavy Bench with Reverse Bands (Video)

So this is the first time I did a heavy bench with reverse bands…Bar weight is 455 (dont mind the ugly bright plates) and from what we figured out its ~385 at the bottom and ~445 at the top of the press. Only maxed out at 430 previously. Thoughts? Suggestions?

It felt incredibly slow when I was doing it…then I watched the video and was like damn that looked quick

Nice. That must mean that you toss up anything that feels easy, haha.

Only thing I’d say is watch the elbow flare that early in the push from the chest. The bar rises a hair too quickly towards your face, but that might be from the band tension pulling it that way.

If you have the chance, use a slingshot.

Good benching, keep up the good work. Your set up looks pretty good.
