Heart Rate Monitors


I am in the market for a heart rate monitor for running, but I would like to also use it for my weight lifting.

Does anybody use an HRM, and what do you think are good models for weight lifting, or what features do you think are important or essential for weightlifting.

Don't use one. Don't think it's necessary either.


I use one from OMRON. I Like that I can connect it to my PC and download info.


oops meant polar for cardio.


Polar makes excellent ones. The better ones can be programmed to do intervals and all sorts of cool stuff.


Polar is probably the best, but why would you want to use a HRM for weight training?
