Thinking of everyone’s favorite Hawaiian, Chinadoll, and hoping she’s ok!
I actually PM’ed her after I read it on yahoo news. No reply, but hopefully everthing is ok.

Well, I beleive there’s a power outtage over most of the islands which means her computer wont work.
I do sincerely hope she, as well as everyone else, is OK.
Just talked to my sister and her friend who live on Oauhu. Appears the quake’s epicenter was on the main island, 6.5 magnitude. Pretty good size quake… They said the power is out on all of the islands, but that was about 7 hours ago. Not sure about what type of damage or how bad it was, but they said the power outage was the main concern.
There have been no reports of deaths/serious injuries thus far thank goodness!
I pm’d her too. Never even took into consideration the power outages. She will be busy too, being in the healthcare field.

That was a nice thing to do. I hope she’s ok too.
A friend of mine goes to college in Hawaii. He claimed that all internet access was down. Give her a day or so to reply to the pm.
Hello and Aloha from Hawaii!!! Thank you soooo much for the PM’s and the well wishes!!
Everyone is doing well here. It was a big shake and there was a lot of damage on the Big Island of Hawaii, most especially in Kona. The electricity turned off right away and was down through the night for most of the islands, although some areas had their power restored during the night. My internet was finally just restored.
When i got to work last night after the earthquake, the power was out at our Hospital and the statewide disaster management team was involved. The generators powered the vital functions, such as ventilators, IV pumps and cardiac monitors, but the A/C was out and you can imagine I came into work during very hot and humid weather to my glistening, perspiring coworkers who also had to deal with the immediate post earthquake chaos.
The biggest concern of hospitals was the damage to Kona hospital and management of their patients, which went well.
Anyway, all is well here. I’ll be in Kona this weekend for the Ironman and will take photos of the damage and post them here.
Again, thank you soooo much for the well wishes, concern and PM’s. Lots of love to my friends here at T-Nation!!!
Hugs and Aloha!

Wow. I’m sorry to hear about the quake, but I’m glad to hear that you’re okay (Chinadoll).
I also heard that there were no deaths reported from this yet, so I hope it stays that way.
Holy crap. What wild pics! Glad you’re doing ok and are back. Enjoy Ironman!

Aloha everyone! Thank you for the well wishes! Well, this morning at around 05:24 am (tuesday) was another small shaker, a 4.9 quake. Again, I was at work in the ER and ER’s being a part of the statewide disaster loop, we heard about it right away. Something’s going on below the Pacific Plate, eh?
Love to you guys! Hugs!
