Having Some Trouble Getting Started

i need a work out routine.???..

I think someone should start a website with a ton of information on weightlifting and that would have workouts posted.

That’s hardly fair, hes a step ahead of most newbies if he’s coming in here looking for a routine instead of posting some garbage 3x12 5-day split**.

What are your goals? If you want to get bigger and stronger, you probably would benefit greatly from either one of these:

Rippetoe’s Starting Strength:

Stronglifts 5x5

And this certainly bears repeating: focus on getting your form right!

And don’t forget, if you want to get bigger, you have to eat a lot of food. Check out the beginner nutrition stickies.

** Nothing wrong with splits, I just think they aren’t good for most beginners.

It may not have been fair but it has been suggested to jcobrey27 in a previous thread to read the stickies in the beginner�??s forum for a starting reference, which have plenty of information and programs for beginners. I just don’t think that he is heeding the advice of others.
