Hardloser

Hey guys, I got a problem. I’m a hardloser.

I weigh 250 at 25% bodyfat. I can’t lose any weight. I eat 5,000 kcals a day.

Any ideas why I am a hardloser?

It just doesn’t seem fair. No matter what I do, I can’t lose any weight!

Who are you making fun of, and why?

I guess your post could also just say:

If you think you’re a hard gainer, you probably need to eat more.

The first thing I would do is increase your cals to 6000+ a day.

If that doesn’t work then I don’t know.

Read T-Nation’s archives from start to finish, and you will have the knowledge to remove the ‘hard’ from your title.

Darn, you beat me to it.

Don’t worry, CaliforniaLaw, you’ll always be a loser to us. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You said “hard.”

If you gave your age, height, and activity level it would help in determining how many calories your burning per day.
From that you could then alter your calorie intake and cardio so your body is in a calorie defecit, thus losing weight.
5,000 for a weight loss plan is pretty high.

Your last satire in this vein was funny. This isn’t, really.

If you’re trying to lose fat, train as usual, eat 3 clean meals a day, make at least 4 hours of cardio per week and there’s no way you will not lose weight.

As to the fat loss part, radical surgery (perhaps even a lobotomy) may be your only answer.

As to the ‘hard’ part, substitute Flameout for the Viagra 4 times per day and salt your peter twice per day.

I was pretty amused with myself.

Unlike you, I choose not to bang my head against the wall by telling “hardgainers” they need to eat more. Instead, I get a good laugh out of them.

The broader point, of course, is this: No one would ever think to post what I posted. Everyone knows if you eat too much, you will not lose weight. Yet 160 lb. guys post all the time about how they cannot gain any weight. Just read “The Hardgainer Project” in case you’ve forgotten.

Are people really so stupid or dense that they don’t realize if you’re not gaining weight, you should eat more?

Can you site some research articles to support this claim?

I think your bigger problem is your lack of subtlety and/or ability to cut a satirical edge.

I’d say work on your sense of humor - say 3 sets of ten reps per day. The fat should just JUMP off after that.
