Hammer Curl Questions

What is the diffrence between regular hammer curls and across body hammer curls? (elbow out)

I am mainly interested in forearm/bicep strength


The more you bring the hand in front of the body the more you emphasis the outerbicep and brachiallis. It is important to note that one should be careful when shifting a heavy hammer weight from the regular position and using that same weight and shifting it to the outside of the bicep as you can potentially hurt yourself if you have not trained upwards progressively as you have when doing the neutral position.

Think of close grip vs wide grip bicep curls.

This would be used to put more emphasis on detail and is the illusion effect. Though hammer curls are good for all around bicep growth.
