Agreed. Although, when it comes to Heavyweights (or Supet Heavyweights in Thor’s case) just about any well placed punch can end the fight and lucky punches definitely do happen.
Thor is also gonna have a big reach and against a much smaller opponent like Conor he is gonna hurt McGregor even with strikes that he lands on the arms/are blocked. And that’s just his punches, let alone his kicks, even more so if he’s wearing shoes (or worse yet boots).
