Gym Pseudoscience

Here are 3 pieces of pseudoscience I’ve heard around the gym lately:

  1. High volume, low intensity training will help you get ripped and make your muscles feel extremely strong.

(As opposed to HIT ?)

  1. Aerobic training will help you get ripped.

(Because little metabolism stimulation is better than intensive metabolism stimulation?)

  1. Wrapping plastic foil around yourself when you train will help you lose weight because the fat cells will eliminate water.

(Because we don’t actually have sweat glands for that?)

Okay, they’re all fiction. We get it.

And?
