Growth Factor Training, Progressive Overload Necessary?

Hi CT, when training like your growth factor article, is necesary to progresive overload? Maybe using more weigth or adding sets?

CT has left growth factor training principles fairly loose. Shoot for eight reps on the first exercise and go “to fatigue“ on the other two. If you’re hitting more than eight for the first set, add weight. If you’re pumping out 30 reps to feel fatigue, add weight.
