Ground Flax Meal

This is a rookie question and I apologize if this has been discussed at length or is a dumb question. That being said, what, if any, are the benefits of eating ground flax seed instead of taking flax oil?

Should I ditch the meal and stick to oil to take in those fats? Thanks for any help.

You get a nice dose of fiber and Lignans from the meal. I personnly use a tbl spoon or two of it a day. thats about it as far as flax.



what phill said plus the fats will be less prone to oxidation if you grind it fresh from the seeds. for a p&f shake i grind 3 tbsp flax seeds in the blender before i mix the other shake ingredients.
