What grip width do you guys use while board pressing? competition width or narrower grip to focus on tric?
I don’t follow the Westside rules as far as changing my grips on DE bench or on board presses. I always use the grip that is most comfortable to me and is also my “competition” grip as well.
I only change my grip when doing close-grip benches or on other exercises (chins, rows, curls, etc.).
Pinky right inside the ring. When I really want to blast the Tricep, I’ll go a few inches out from the smooth.
depending how many sets i’m doing, i will use three or 4 diff. grips, going from extremely wide(wider then allowed during comps) to pretty narrow(8 inches apart, if it doesnt bother the wrists).
