Welp. I watched this, and was reminded of Pax Beale saying something about bodybuilding being full of Damon Runyon characters.
I remember ol’ Rocky here, and this is about what I expected.
Rocky?! He sounds more like Pauly!!
lol, right? He is hard to listen to.
I think his nickname was Rocky back in the day cause he looked like Stallone. Allegedly.
I turned it on for a moment. People that sound that stupid…just cannot do it.
Took the words right out my mouth
He explained how Ray and Mike Mentzer trained from his direct observation and being friends with them. Its different than what most people think. Thanks for posting it.
My spontaneous first impression was that Gregg somehow reminded me of Jackie Gleason as sheriff Buford T Justice. Also, I’ve always had a hard time listening to people rambling, who never gets their point. Thirdly, why listen to a severely dysmorphophobic guy who appearantly is a synthol addict? Not my role model. He simply can’t be trusted.
You guys are harsh! Gregg is a National treasure! He’s a funny dude and a good storyteller! He also was in the Bodybuilding scene, hanging out with the big names in the ‘70s so he’s got a lot of cool and relevant experience.
I agree … love listening to these guys who were actually there during those times. He can be a little crude for me sometimes … especially when there are women on the same podcasts … but his stories from first hand experience are entertaining.
