Great TV Series

Whether it be watching every week or via DVD, what are the TV series you’ve been watching?

Right now in the rotation are
Better Call Saul Spinoff of Breaking Bad and just as good on AMC
Sons of Anarchy Watched 5 seasons on DVD just got season 6
House of Lies Just started this last night 2 episodes and I liked it
Person of Interest What’s not to like? Violence and two good looking women
The Following I walk through my house saying “CLLLLAAAIIIIRRRREEE” in the Joe voice

Looking forward to
Mad Men
Game of Thrones, though I’m not that fired up about this

Other stuff I’ve watched and enjoyed
House of Cards
Breaking Bad
Californication
Masters of Sex wish the women were hotter
Orange is the New Black

The only TV series’ I watch are the current superhero ones:
Arrow
Gotham
Flash

Otherwise I watch shows like American Dad, South Park, Family Guys, Key & Peele, Workaholics, etc… Not really series, imo.

I was watching The Black List, but lost interest. It’s a good show though.

Vikings
Justified

Not great but I actually like Z Nation a lot. Silly B grade stuff.

Favourite:

Fargo

True Detective
Boston Legal Seasons 1-3

Currently watching:

The Black List

Waiting for:

The Strain Season 2
Fargo Season 2
Z Nation Season 2

Has anyone watched a show called Kingdom? It’s about a family of MMA fighters. I really enjoyed season 1.

The rest sports movies & porn

Lost interest in The 100
Enjoyed Revolution
Enjoyed Breaking Bad
Looking forward to watching The Black List
Enjoyed House of Cards
Enjoyed Boardwalk Empire
Lost interest in Z Nation
Enjoyed Walking Dead
Dexter was “OKish…”
Enjoyed The Peaky Blinders
Thought SOA was fucking stupid (albeit entertaining)
Looking forward to watching Better Call Saul

Sons is stupid in a good unrealistic humorous way.

Watched Gold Rush this season too for my reality fix.

Boardwalk Empire this year was good as well.

Breaking bad ruined TV for me.

Nothing will ever be that good again…

I enjoyed
The wire
Breaking Bad
Oz
Hannibal
House of lies
Arrested development
Sons I just started it is good but over hyped like Games of thrones
Walking dead
Dexter after season 8ish or seven it is very redundant.
South park
The 100 is like lost mixed with walking dead but is more like a teen sitcom with it’s melodrama overall I am enjoying it
I have to check out Znation now since I like zombie shizz.

Some throwback shows I’d recommend, presently available on VHS and possibly DVD…

Mr. Show
Beavis and Butthead
Married… With Children
ALF
Ren and Stimpy

Broad City. Those girls make me laugh.

A buddy and I were talking the other day, and it came up that we’ve never seen ALF on syndication, and couldn’t figure out why. Is it that he kept trying to eat the house cat? Was it so bad they don’t want to retroactively destroy a generations childhood? Who knows… great list, by the way.

I know how you feel, but Mad Men. I don’t know if I can live in a world without Mad Men.

The Wire / Breaking Bad - probably the two best TV series ever
Peaky Blinders - great show, soundtrack is mostly Nick Cave, White Stripes and a bit of Tom Waits - can’t beat that
The Knick - cocaine addicted surgeon in the early days of modern medicine - fantastic show
Suits - quick wit, cuthroat lawyers, and lots of super hot women
Broadchurch - British cop procedural/murder mystery - very well done
The Killing - was hit and miss at first but got hooked
House of Cards - just straight up great show
Justified - took a while to get into but really started to enjoy it
Sons of Anarchy - again, took a while but got into it, certainly has a goofy element to it and the finale was predictable but still watched 'em all

As a young lad I used to think Xena was pretty great. Nowadays though there’s internet porn.

Things were different back in our days. We couldn’t even dream of this generation’s access to smut. Nope, we had to earn it with grit and imagination. Xena, USA Up All Night screenings of Bikini Car Wash, Telemundo, scrambled premium channels with pretty good audio at the midnight hour…

Like the pioneers of old, we worked with what we had and built something special.

Hannibal. I hate cop/mystery shows, but it’s really well done.

Also Lost.

I gave Mad Men a good 5-6 episodes and couldn’t really motivate myself to watch any more… and I made it through the first 2 seasons of Falling Skies (which gets much better).

Watched Better Call Saul after reading this thread. It’s brilliant!
