Great! She'll Be On 60 Minutes

Just when I thought that it was “over”…she is going to be on “60 Minutes Wednesday” …

Giuliana Sgrena, who writes for the communist newspaper Il Manifesto, is running around stating that her car was not speeding AND she recieved no warning from American soldiers when her car was fired on by American soldiers at a checkpoint.

To add insult to injury, she states:

"Suddenly, she said, she remembered her captors’ warning her “to be careful because the Americans don’t want you to return.”

Now…before you or I jump to conclusions… the latest 60 minutes correspondents can ask tough questions (like the ones they posed to Iraq War Deserters)…so don’t assume some “Liberal Bias” in the report…

We’ll see…

Mufasa

I’ll be “bumping” this over the next few days so that we can all discuss her appearance…

Mufasa

Liberal bias from CBS and 60 minutes? No way that could never happen! They are as fair as the day is long…

who cares? She’s a communist. Communists lie.
She hates America, so does CBS…who cares?

I’m just interested in her latest “spin”…

Mufasa

The left bitches about the evils of Fox News. 60 Minutes stopped being a ‘news show’ years ago. It does do a good job of being Rather’s ABB megaphone.

The bitch should’ve been killed instead of her driver. Why are we giving this america-hating megaphone an audience?

If I were CBS I’d beware of “th’s” that look out of place, and Word documents that are 40 years old. Will they ever learn?

“America’s evil, America’s wrong, all you Americans are evil creatures.”

how’s that?

What’s wrong with being a communist?

Getting accidently shot at by americans has to be every little commy writer’s dream come true.

No. I get the prejudice towards soviets, north koreans, and chinese, but how many people have actually read the Communist Manifiesto?

(And before you ask I’m not a communist, though I am a socialist and psudo-leninist).

Except for the fact that communism stands in direct opposition with everything a free-market society stands for, is opposed to everything our constitution was founded on, and regards the gov’t as the caretaker of the masses - nothing is wrong with it.

But not a spellist?

Aside from communism being worthless. Nothing wrong with it. I’d never live under it, I’d sure as hell run one though.

It’s a crock a shit. Creates a class/caste system and doesn’t function. Not to mention it destroys the ecnomic basis of a nation. All communist countries (communism is an economic policy foremost) are lightyears behind free market economies.

Actually some of the principels of the Constitution (which isn’t sacred by the way, ever heard of the amendments?) are similar to Marx’s original principals. Read his theory of Man. As for the free market, there are evils on both sides (human nature is the main culprit for these both being utopias), so just because it directly opposes your form of economics does not make it evil.

The goverment being the caretaker of the masses is the main flaw, as can be seen with nearly all examples of communist countries. However, the same can be said for imperialist nations.

I support a midpoint, like Sweden for example.

Yeah - we copied Marx’s ideas 30 years before he was born.

I like capitalism, unashamedly. Our society in the U.S. is too socialistic as it is, now.

The U.S. imperialistic? Not in the last 90 years, or so.

LOL!!

I never said you copied them, I said they’re similar. There are some universal principal that have been established in western thought since pre-socratic times, so you don’t really need to copy someone to same some similarities in your ideals.

“The U.S. isn’t imperialistic.”

I beg to differ:

I can keep going if you want.

Edit: English is my second language. I could write in spanish if you want me to; maybe it’ll be easier for you to understand me that way.

If you will read what you wrote, you will see that, based on the way you wrote it, you are inferring that we copied Marx.

imperialism - the policy, practice, or advocacy of extending the power and domination of a polity by territorial expansion or by gaining indirect control over the political or economic life of other areas

Instead of posting links, prove that the U.S. is such. And while your at it, why don’t you go ahead and list the conquests of communism’s own imperialistic habits.

people say liberal bias all the time im sorry but i under stand what the hell is so liberal about news ? so news is being liberal by putting on nothing but fluff stories like Terrie Shaivo ? all i see on news is useless information nothing but WMD’S , weapons of mass distraction
