its the deficit that burns fat, regardless of where it comes from (diet or training). the old calories in vs calories out.
eating every few hours offers no advantage over a less frequent meal plan.
steady state cardio isn’t inferior to HIIT, and HIIT isn’t always the best way to burn fat.
