I purchased an olympic barbell for my home gym. It was greased before it was packaged to prevent any rusting. The guys at the store I bought it in told me that WD40 takes it right off. I’ve cleaned the bar with WD40, various cleansers, and dishwashing soap. The bar is no longer slippery but there’s still grease on it. Has anyone else been through this? Any suggestions? If not, I’m going to try engine or grill degreaser.
you might just try rubbing on some chalk…just don’t get too into it someone might get the wrong idea
