Grappler Going Up In Weight

Sentoguy: I am taking a few months off from competing to gain some weight and vastly improve my strength/explosiveness. Thank you for the link for that DVD I am going to have to check it out. Once I start getting closer to tourny time, I will be kicking up my endurance (I am a big fan of Waterbury’s Hammer Down.)

  1. I have been training in BJJ for about 3 years (Blue Belt)

  2. My last big tourny was in Milwaukee in May and I went 2-2, It was my first one at Blue Belt for Gi, and Intermediate for No Gi, so I was happy. It was put on by NAGA.

Cool.

Honestly though if you want to really see the results that “The Crawl” workout can give you, you should use it for a solid 3 months. That means doing it 2 times per week (at least, if not 3) consistently, exactly like Shihan Charlie describes in the dvd, for 3 months.

And honestly, as Shihan Charlie told me (and several others I know who he gave this routine to), I am not going to tell you the results that this routine is going to give you. If you do it consistently and seriously, other people are going to tell you the results.

I’d be extremely surprised if people didn’t start coming up to you after rolling with them and say, “Holy crap, what the hell have you been doing?”

I have a doctor appointment this Friday.

I have not posted in a while because my hamsting had been really tight lately, and then when I went into a full squat my knee popped a few times. So I am backing off until a doc see it.
