Good post. This was on BBC the other day.

There has been a number of issues with increadibly disabled children with very severe pain and mental/developmental issues and not giving resus. These have been to court.

This is an extremely emotive issue, and i have my own opinions on this, but i wont go there.

The issue is often a one between drs judgement and parents. whilst the parent is important, are they in the most objective position to make such a call?

And if i stimulate a nemitode worm with environmental input and it responds in some manner, does that mean its demonstating certain levels of conciousness?

Either way, its a tragedy and very sad to see a family stretched in this way.
