Week 4 Day 1

Week 4 Day 2

Power cleans 135x3,160x3,185x3
Deadlifts 275x3,315x3,355x5,395x3x1

Summary: Back squats still don’t feel right on the hip, so I’m going to sub in fronts for a while instead. Just going to use a simple 5,4,3,2,1,1,1 setup because I don’t want to go above 5 reps yet keep the load high enough to get stronger with them. Bench felt a little meh. Pop on second pull of PCs was really good today and even deadlifts starting to feel better. I might even get a half-way decent strict press going if I stick with it.

Week 5 Day 1

Summary: High-carb day so I felt like crap. Everything was pretty easy though. Front squats are feeling really good and a lot less awkward than they used to. Top set of bench I could have cranked out a couple of more reps but going to continue with the conservative approach to give myself more room to grow. Hit some curls for the gunzzz and that was that.

Week 5 Day 2

Summary: Felt like I was in a commercial gym where they want you “to put the bar down gently”. Both of the boys were just put to bed so I had to be as quiet as possible. Pulls might not have been the best choice tonight, lol. Bar speed is still good and I’m liking the slow and steady progression.

Haha, I know the feeling on deads! Fortunately, my place just got just got a new deadlift platform and they don’t look at you like you just shit on the floor when the weights clank now.
