Good Book For Front Squats?

Does anyone have any recommendations for books that go in depth about the set up, form, and mechanics of front squats?

Mark Rippetoe’s “Starting Strength” does a great job with explaining back squats, so I was hoping to find something similar.

You’d probably be better off looking online for videos. I don’t know about you but I find it a lot easier to learn how to do an exercise if I can see somebody else do it.

Online articles and videos should be more than enough to get the general idea.

Any type of free weight squat has a learning curve and takes time to master but learning enough to start practicing should be fairly simple.

One nice thing about front squats is that they are easier to perform correctly than back squats due to the bars position.

There’s an excellent article on the olympic squat in Performance Menu 22 which goes into great detail about the mechanics, optimum foot position, knee alignment etc. You can get a free issue from
