Gonna Start Building the Monolith Soon

I just finished Week 1 Day 1 of BTM, absolutely loved the session. But, as I’m mapping out the rest of the program, I have some questions:
1.) What exactly is the difference between TM and 1RM?
2.) How do we re-adjust our TM on Week 4? Do we add 5 lbs to bench and squat, and 10 lbs to deadlift? Or do we add 5% to each? Not sure!

You really need to read one of the books. These are all very fundamental questions that everyone should know before they start the 5/3/1 program.

  1. Your TM is 80-90% of your 1rm depending on which template you’re running. BTM recommends 85%

  2. whenever you complete a cycle you add 5lbs to press/bench TMs and 10lbs to squat/DL TMs. If you find yourself having to grind reps on the final week of a cycle it’s acceptable to keep your TMs the same instead

Yeah for BTM, I used an 80% TM for the squat and DL, and about 85 for the press and bench. I almost wish I had just used 80 for all of them. It will destroy you if your TM is too high.
