Going to Be Out of Gym for 2 Months. How to Minimize Loss?

I’m only 39, but my prostate is problematic. About to have it removed. I know to expect about 2 months of no real lifting. So my question to T-Nation folks is: what’s the best plan you know of to ward off the losses during this 2-month outage?

  • How can I best ensure proper healing and minimal losses?

  • What dietary guidance would you have to help speed recovery and minimize muscle loss?

  • Any guidance for safe exercise while I’m on the mend?

I know none of the responses (and thanks in advance) are medical advice and I need to confer and listen to my docs foremost. But curious if anyone here has experience or insight from a T perspective.
