Hey all, got a bit of a problem. I’ve been on Meltdown I&II for the past 6 weeks, am doing a high rep scheme per Don’s suggestion before going back to Meltdown I again, and I am about to go nuts! Yes, it’s summer, and yes, I want to cut fat, but not being able to go heavy is slowly eating away at me! Would there be any problem with adding in a couple of strength workouts during the week? I know that Dave Tate and Louie Simmons do extra workouts in their Westside protocols, but those mostly tend to be assistance workouts. My main concern that mixing in two totally different training stimuli would confuse my CNS. I know that Poliquin advised against mixing training blocks for just such a reason. Any thoughts? Am I just going to have to tough it out and wait for my next strength phase to come along? Thanks!!
