Goals: 50 Inch Running Vert, 4x BW Pull

Hi, Chris Hickson here, I am currently around 215lbs, at 6’3. and I am training now for a strong squat obviously, but Really wanna push my running vert. to 50" and get my pull to 4x bodyweight.
I have a summer bball league prolly starting up in 4-5 weeks so prolly wanna get the deadlift and vert up there before it begins so I can just maintain it during that, even tho its only 1 game a week. And the Powerlifting meet I will be going to next is JUlY 16th I believe in Iowa for the UPA.
here is my best deadlift (800)

and best running vert so far (42-44")

naw I’m pretty sure the less I play and less vert. exercises I do the better I jump because I develop aches and pains in joints and stuff.

I mean box jumps are fun and all, once a month or something but weekly or multiple times a week I think I’d be hurt. Could be all in my head. What do you think, I am very open to suggestions?

If you’re already jumping over 40" then there isn’t any advice I could give you to improve it lol. Mine is in the low 30’s. I would think you could squeeze out another couple inches if you took a little time off lifting and focused those sessions on jumping though. but like i said, im not speaking from personal experience. But your run-up speed and takeoff seem pretty solid. you’re getting a lot out of your stretch-reflex

Glad you made a log, man. Your strength is absurd. I like the high frequency squatting…wish more people would try it.

Thanks man. and other guys and Idk why people wouldn’t like me lol. yes high rep squats my leg recover from, but my back partially recovers, like enough to keep squatting but not enough to pull a new deadlift record without some rest first.
