Glute Medius & Squatting

#1

@CT, kelly starret reccomends a form of squatting that incorporates the glute medius by keeping your feet neutral and pushing your knees out. He argues this form has the same benefits that single leg training provides which is hip torque and glute nedius activation. Thoughts?

This has already been discussed. Really, it something that can sound good in theory but really, very few if any of the best squatters in the world (olympic lifters and powerlifters) use that type of squatting.

Agreed. It makes sense, but it’s a hell of a lot easier doing it with just your body weight and practicing the movement slowly as opposed to getting under 315 pounds and doing that for a few reps.
