Glute-Ham Specialization


I want to experiment with a glute-ham specialization using some of the techniques and programming pointers for HTMU recruitment Thibs mentioned in June/July on his "Questions About Training" thread.

What would you guys and gals suggest as the main exercise in the specialization? Possibly a low bar squat or a powerlifting deadlift (hips high, shoulders behind bar)?


whats the difference between a powerlifting deadlift and any other kind of deadlift?


A powerlifting deadlift your hips are higher like a quarter squat and your shoulders are behind the bar. I had been doing clean-style deadlifts previously (legs more like half squat, more upright torso, shoulders in line or in front of bar).
