I’m helping a friend who finally start weight training and he has come to me for questions. One thing he started taking is Glutamine. I understand this is a good supplement but have heard several different people say they take anywhere from 5 grams a day to 10 grams. He told me the other day that he has been taking 20 grams a day. I feel this is too high a daily dose to take but wasn’t sure what to tell him since I don’t know much about Glutamine. Do you guys have any recommendations on how much he should be taking?

5-10 grams before bed (glutamine has been shown to have SOME effect in raising growth hormone) if he uses any protien powder or mrp’s they should have added glutamine so I don’t think you realy need much more during the day but it ain’t gonna hurt
