Glutamine Expiration

I have an unopened bottle of glutamine powder that is stamped with an expiration date 06/07. Does glutamine “go bad”?

I have the same question… anyone?

With an unopened container kept at reasonable temperatures, such as room temperature, there should be no problem.

It is true that some amino acids don’t do so well with repeated re-openings of the container, particularly in humid climates, repeatedly exposing the product to added oxgen and water. I don’t know if this is true for glutamine, never noticed, but it may well be to some extent. If it is a problem with such repeated openings, it would probably be evidenced by visible yellowing. For example this occurs readily with carnitine.

But since your container is unopened, there’s no such concern and your glutamine should be fine.
