Can joint girth be a guage for an individuals abiliy to grow? What I mean is… If a person were to have larger than average (what ever average is) measurmets for the wrists, elbows, ankles ect., could that be used as a guage for how a persons genetics will allow their muscles to grow in size? thanks
I don’t think it’s proven. Some think yes,
but some (including me) think not.
What can be a reasonable indicator is the
length of muscles – in other words, how much of the length is muscle vs. how much is tendon
on either end. If the muscle is short and the tendons long, muscle mass is limited, but if the muscle belly is long and the tendons short on each side, then the potential for mass is good. Still, though, some guys will get surprising results.
