Getting the Abs to Show More

I’ve been researching this and just couldn’t find any sure answers so I thought I might ask the people. I want to lose the layer of fat over my abs so they “show up” more.

I do not have a gut, just a layer and it’s bugging me. I have heard running on an empty stomach burns the fat, and just running in general. Can anyone help me out here?

etc.

The more you eat the more your stomache will push your abbs out so they will be much more visable. If you were to up your calories by around 1000 you would probably have an eight pack in around 15 weeks.

The thing it is has a rebounding affect that will make you gain fat then when your body gets used to the extra 1000 calories you drop it all in the period of about two weeks and your ripped as hell.

Youre 6’1" and 155 lbs., I doubt very highly that you have much fat covering anything on your body. The key to getting your abs to show more is to develop them more.

Crunches, leg raises, etc. are all great for working your abs, but nothing will tax your core muscles more than heavy compounds, particularly ones done in a standing position where your body has to hold itself upright without a bench or seat. Squats, deadlifts, and standing overhead presses, along with more ab-specific work will help to increase the thickness of your abdominal muscles, making them show up more.

The kicker to this is that those big movements will also help to build up the rest of your body, which, by the looks of your post in the rate my physique section, you need to do very badly.

Why the fuck do you care about abs right now, you’re 155 lbs at 6’1. It’s not a badge of honor to have your abs shown from 30 feet away.
