Getting Rid of Vista...

I just purchased a new laptop, toshiba, 4gb ram, 300gb drive, 2.0ghz processor. I like it a lot, it’s got great battery life, it’s pretty, etc.

I HATE windows vista. I tried to reserve judgment till I became more familiar with it, but it just has to go. I’m looking for advice for how to set up dual boot. I’d like to install XP and Ubunto. I’m pretty good with computers, but I’ve never done something like this so I was hoping someone wouldn’t mind pointing me in the right direction.

Easy.

Install Windows XP Pro, format the hard drive during the installation process. Do NOT do it from within Windows - boot off of the CD into the installation.

Then once Windows is up, install Ubuntu.

That’s all.

PM me if you need to.
