From the SF Chronicle:
The Senate on Wednesday passed a bill by voice vote that would curtail sales of steroid precursors such as androstenedione.
Sen. Joseph Bilden said the bill would add 18 substances to the list of banned anabolic steroids, including androstenedione and tetrahydrogestrinone. He also said the bill would provide $15 million to teach kids aobut the dangers of steroids and increases the criminal penalties.
The House has approved a similar bill, but the two must be reconciled before anything goes to the White House to be signed into law.
