I noticed that in the diet phase for the first couple of weeks (heavy caloric restriction blitz), you are supposed to eat more portions of protein and fat than in the next phase which is supposedly moderate caloric restriction. To compensate, you eat some fruit in the second phase. Is this correct? It seems like I would be eating more in the heavy caloric restriction phase.

No, I would assume that the first diet phase with more protein and fat would have more calories.
