As opposed to the high caliber advice given… where did you say???[/quote]

I was wrong to say that the athletics advice on elitefts is poor, as I’m sure at least some of the advice given there is good.

I just don’t think a powerlifting site is the best place to go to get advice on running. Likewise a dedicated track site is not the best place for a powerlifter to go for advice on increasing his deadlift. I am also not a huge fan of Dr. Yessis

I would recommend the OP checks out elitetrack.com and Charlie Francis’s site. Also Kelly Baggett’s site is pretty good as is wannagetfast.com.

Edit - Only just saw the post where the OP said he wants to run 400 800 and mile. Other than for the 400, you probably won’t find a huge amount of relevant info on the sites I listed. I don’t have any interest in middle-long distance running so I don’t know which sites would be best for those events.
