German Volume Training

Hi Everyone,
I’m new to this forum and would like to hear from anyone who’s tried German Volume Training. I plan on giving it the full 12 weeks however I’m a little worried about picking up an over use injury due to the amount of sets involved on one exercise.
Has anyone experienced the results Poliquin talks about in his articles?
I would be grateful for any advice.


You might want to give CT’s OVT a try instead. I’ve used both in the past and got better results with OVT.


Welcome to T-Forum! I used German Volume Training on two occasions. Both times it seemed to work well for me. I trained twice per week with it for four weeks and did not notice any overtraining.

Give it a try, and find out for yourself. I warn you to pick the proper weight going in as the last three sets can be very nasty!
