German Volume Training

I was considering trying the German Volume Training routine. My first question is, because of the bench presses and pull-ups, would it be more effective to add a leg day after chest/back and than again after tris/bis? My feeling is because of the overlapping work. For instance the bench press and dips are a very similar exercises using most of the same muscles. It seems you would get either to much arm training and or not enough leg training. Another question is if I should include military presses and upright rows? I don’t like switching exercises so GVT 2000 is out for me (maybe). I like the one exercise per body part idea. Also If anyone could come up with a GVT routine to include militry presses, upright rows, and added leg days to cut overlapping I would appriciate it.
Thanks.
