General Strength Guidelines for Runners?


What strength training(best bang for buck exercises/sets/reps/etc) would you recommend for excellent high school runners(800m,mile,2 mile and x-country)?
They have no resistance training experience.
I appreciate your advice–thanks.

Do what your coach says and don’t hurt yourself? If you’re already excellent, you risk hurting your performance more than benefitting by following our internet response to a pretty vague question. I’m not being a jerk, I’m being serious
