Damn. I want in, but my 360 is currently facing the dreaded red ring of death and will be sent back for repairs soon. Thank God I am still under warranty (mostly due to Microsoft deciding to extend their warranties on all 360’s, mostly because of this very issue).

Kuz,
I’ve had my 360 for almost a year. Lately I have been getting the ‘white screen’ that says to put the disc into an xbox360. Which is obviously a problem. My question is, if I never purchased any additional warranty, am I covered?

beebuddy,
You’re covered for one year from the date of purchase.
Mine hasn’t died yet but I’m anticipating having to send it in soon. My disc tray doesn’t open like it should. Whenever I press eject, it sticks and doesn’t open. I have to manually press on the tray to get it to come out.
And I’m definitely up for a game this weekend. I haven’t tried the new mode yet but I’m looking forward to it. I’ll be on tomorrow evening for a while. Let me know.
Frankly, I think Annex rocks, though it took a little while to figure out what the point was. Thanks for the help, Beebuddy.
I’ll try to host a round this weekend (family in town, so…) and will invite the new folks as well.
Epic has announced four new maps coming soon. Guessing online has the date around Halo3 beta release in May, but there’s no way to know. No word on additional weapons.

The funny thing is that when I called in for my warranty claim and they said it was up the 21st of this month, it seemed weird because I could have sworn I had it longer than a year. But either way, if you are having a problem, definitely contact them about it and they can tell you right away if you are still under warranty or not.

Should I get Gears of War or Call of Duty 4?[/quote]
Yes.
They’re entirely different games. I find now that I enjoy CoD4 enormously, but Gears resonates with me in ways nothing else has. At this point, Gears2 will be out in November, so pick up a used copy of Gears on eBay when you can and buy CoD4 now.
All that said, I have noticed that people are returning to playing Gears after a few months of Halo and CoD4-induced absence.
