I’ve been reading articles from coach Seedman and coach Thibaudeau on the “best” squat depth, and they are polar opposites on the topic. At 49 years old, I’d like to cater to whichever protects my joints (knees) the most. What is your belief?
I always squatted well below parallel. For the knees as you’re older what’s really important is paying attention to strengthening the hamstrings and VMO. Squat to a depth that feels natural and without pain. And don’t use knee wraps.
